Valter Caccia
Infrastructure Director of Southeast Asia
Valter Caccia has been appointed Infrastructure Director of Southeast Asia of SUEZ in March 2023, overseeing infrastructure activities, as well as engineering and procurement activities across Southeast Asia.
He joined SUEZ in 2000, initially as Project Manager of Treatment Infrastructure business, formerly known as Degrémont, in Italy, where he was in charge of design and construction of water treatment plants. In October 2008, he was appointed Project Director for the design and build of one of the biggest reverse osmosis plants in the Middle East, and also several water plants in Europe and Africa. From 2012 to 2016, he held the role of Bid Director for the Middle East, managing bid submission in the region. In 2018, he took up the role of CEO of Barka Desalination Company, founded by a consortium of SUEZ and its partners, in Oman. In the following year, he returned to Italy as Deputy General Manager of SUEZ Trattamento Acque in charge of all infrastructure activities, moving, again abroad Southeast Asia, where he took the role of Infrastructure Director for Philippines and Southeast Asia Engineering & Procurement Platform Director, in May 2022.
He has over 20 years of experience in the water, waste and construction industry. He also has an impressive track record of successful contract negotiation, exceptional project development and of leading teams from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Valter earned his degree in Civil Engineering from Politecnico di Milano, Italy, in 1994.
