SUEZ, a global leader in environmental services, and JEMCO, a premier construction company in the Philippines, together with Metro Pacific Water, a key water and wastewater infrastructure investor fully-owned by Metro Pacific Investments Corp. (MPIC), commenced the construction of a seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO) desalination facility in Metro Iloilo— the largest of its kind in the Philippines. Slated to be completed in 24 months, this project will help address the critical shortage of drinking water in the region, supplying sustainable and reliable potable water to local communities.

SUEZ signed a joint venture agreement with Sonadezi, a state-owned company who has developed and currently manages 11 large-scale industrial parks in Vietnam, to provide integrated environmental solutions to the largest industrial park in South Vietnam. This strategic partnership marks SUEZ’s first industrial park project in Vietnam and its 22nd in Asia, reinforcing its commitment to supporting the region’s sustainable growth with circular, resilient industrial water and waste solutions.

On 16 March, the Shanghai Bay Area Half Marathon kicked off at Binhai Park in Jinshan District. As an official partner of the event, SUEZ collaborated with the host, Jinshan District People’s Government of Shanghai, to integrate the principles of the circular economy throughout the event towards a zero waste event. Leveraging its advanced technology and extensive expertise in water and waste management, SUEZ helped create a successful sustainable sporting event, underscoring its commitment to corporate social responsibility and contribution to the city’s ecological transformation.

SUEZ, a global leader in circular solutions for water and waste management, announced three new projects in Asia at the Singapore International Water Week (SIWW), demonstrating its innovative approach to water management in both municipal and industrial sectors. During the state visit of Chinese President to France this week, SUEZ has solidified its contribution to the ecological transition by signing three strategic partnerships with Chinese partners: Envision, Chongqing Sanfeng Environment, and Dongguan Water Group. The formalising of these agreements was witnessed by the leaders of the two countries. These three partnerships focus on transforming waste into local and sustainable energy and pioneering electric vehicle battery recycling – key steps in the energy transition of both China and France.

In a landmark collaboration following a competitive bidding process, SUEZ and Maynilad, the Philippines’ largest private water concessionaire, are joining forces to spearhead a transformative wastewater treatment project. This venture, under the auspices of the Philippine Government, aims to dramatically reduce water pollution in Manila Bay. This project will be instrumental in protecting the environment and enhancing the quality of life of residents.

SUEZ, a leading player in water management, recently signed a contract for the Buaran III Water Treatment Plant (WTP) project in Jakarta. The Group will supply key equipment for the water treatment process and will provide technical advisory services for the installation and commissioning of the Buaran III utility. The new WTP in the Indonesian capital will enhance the resilience of the city’s water supply system to provide a safe, reliable, and long-term supply of water to local communities.
