SUEZ R&D Centre opens in Beijing, boosting China's environment protection industry

On 9 July 2024, SUEZ held the opening ceremony for its R&D Centre in Beijing, marking a new milestone in the company's research and development capabilities in China.

Wang Yiqi, Deputy Director of the International Science & Technology Cooperation Centre, Zhongguancun Administrative Committee, Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission; Wang Xi, Deputy Director, District Science and Information Bureau, Chaoyang Park Administrative Committee, representatives from the Department of Higher Education, Research & Innovation for the French Embassy to China and the SUEZ International R&D Centre in Paris were all in attendance as SUEZ brought new energy to China's environment protection efforts.

 

SUEZ Environmental Technology, a subsidiary of the SUEZ Group, averages over 25 registered patents annually. The SUEZ R&D Centre in Beijing, staffed by more than 30 experts and technicians, focuses on R&D, innovation, project support, technical training, and business promotion. In 2023, it received certifications as a "Beijing Foreign-funded R&D Centre" and a "Postdoctoral Research Workstation," highlighting government recognition of SUEZ's R&D capabilities. The opening of this centre marks a significant milestone in SUEZ's commitment to the Chinese market and its dedication to environmental protection.
